Matthew (Matt) Schafer is a Michigan attorney focused on technology agreements and the businesses that rely on them.

Matt brings a legal background together with more than 20 years of experience in enterprise technology. His professional experience includes technology contracts, telecommunications, infrastructure, software, hardware, and IT services, along with hands-on technical work and technology operations.

That combination shapes the way Matt approaches technology agreements. He understands that a contract has to work in the real world—not just on paper. The terms need to reflect what the technology actually does, what the vendor is responsible for, and how the agreement will affect the business after it is signed.

Matt helps businesses with technology provider selection, contract review, software and SaaS agreements, technology services, contract modifications, and renewals. His goal is straightforward: provide practical legal guidance that helps clients understand what they are agreeing to and make informed decisions before they commit.

He is an active member of the State Bar of Michigan. Outside the office, he serves as Executive Director for the Parish Planning Committee at Trinity Lutheran Church in Wyandotte. In his spare time, he enjoys working on cars and restoring vintage 1970s and 1980s audio equipment.
